Yoga

ImageMeaning union with the divine - yoga is aimed at integrating mind, body and spirit to enhance health and well-being.  Through practices of holding a variety of body positions or asanas, you will experience the deep stillness and peace that resides at the centre of your being. 

 

Initially you will notice an increased body awareness, posture, and flexibility but soon comes the experience calmness of spirit. Your natural buoyancy will be evoked, bringing ease to all areas of life.

 

Yoga cleanses the body of toxins, improving muscle tone and blood circulation. It allows the body 'quiet time' where it can replenesh and renew.  It is useful for conditions such as stress, anxiety, arthritis, headache, migraine, pregnancy, chronic fatigue and more.

 

Yoga Classes at Vinaka

 

Tuesday Morning
10am-11.15am Suits  50+'s finding they are stiftening up, experiencing more aches & pains and creeping arthritis. This does not have to be the case. Consistent practice of yoga will lead to healthy spines, lifted sternums, open hearts and the ability to touch our toes till we are 90!

Thursday Midday  

12.00 - 1.00pm
These classes are a little stronger and quite varied mixing Hatha, Iyengar and Shadow styles of yoga. All ages welcome! 
Tuesday & Thursday Evening
6.30pm-7.45pm

 

Each student attending a yoga class, is able to be watched and guided carefully in a supportive and friendly atmosphere as there is a maximum of 8 students per class. This is perfect for anyone who wants to get back to a healthy, strong and flexible body but may feel intimidated to enter a gym or a larger yoga class. The classes suit all fitness levels. Postures or asanas are presented in stages so that each person can develop at his/her own pace. There is no competition - no agneda - simply the joy of becoming fitter in body, in mind, in emotions and in spirit. A true feeling of complete WELLBEING.     

 

Prices $15 per class
10 sessions to completed in 12 wks - $135
Dress Footless tights/stretch clothing is best (tracksuits not suitable)
Jewellery not recommended 
Yoga Mats Mats are provided or you may bring your own Try not to eat at least 1 hour before the class
